About host

We’re Rowena and Stuart, and in 2025 we bought Jedwater House and Groom's Cottage on the banks of the Jedwater to start a complete renovation. We moved to the Scottish Borders from Birmingham after falling for the house, its history and the beautiful countryside surrounding it.

We’re gradually restoring the estate and bringing its buildings back to life, combining the original character with the comfort and thoughtful details we value when travelling ourselves.

We love sharing this special part of Scotland and are always happy to recommend favourite walks, historic places, independent shops and good local food. You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re nearby if you need advice or help with anything.

We hope Jedwater feels less like another hotel or BnB and more like your own peaceful corner of the Borders.
